She told Mike that the shuttle is quite expensive and to handle with care so not to lose the precious stones. She especially loved the Japanese Shibayama Shuttle, Ruth had purchased that shuttle years ago from Antique Dealer. Ruth let us know she had prayed them to Texas, very thankful they arrived safely. She told me that Mike must really love me, and she wanted me to have them.
Youngblood for such an honor to have her collection. Words cannot express what it was like opening her beloved shuttles that she packed with such loving care. Ruth carefully packed her beloved shuttles and wrote notes on them. Mike had purchased several pieces from her previously and gifted them as a Mother's Day gift in 2021. Mike bought an extensive collection from Ruth Youngblood, a fellow tatter and lace maker who loved to collect as much as I do! I had no idea that Ruth and Mike were planning a huge surprise for me.
